The second Open Garden of this summer was Patricia Elkington’s well established (and well known) garden on the 5th July. This garden is full of interesting and unusual hardy plants which Patricia has collected over the years. The well signed tour of the afternoon took you through the raised garden, into the orchard and on to the top field with the return route to the main lawn with adjacent colourful herbaceous borders. At every turn there was something new to see and what was most amazing were the free range bantams scratching around some of these choice plants. A wonderful afternoon.
