Timothy is a lecturer in Plant Sciences University of Oxford (Somerville) and a former Director of the University of Oxford Botanic Garden and Harcourt Arboretum. After graduating from Oxford, Timothy was a trainee at the Oxford Botanic Garden and then studied for a National Certificate in Horticulture at Askham Bryan College. He spent time at the Savill Garden in Windsor Great Park and was a diploma student at Kew Gardens during 1984–85. He has won four gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show

 

For many people pruning is as bewildering as potions were to the young Harry Potter but armed with the 10 principles in this talk, you will never fear pruning again.  In addition to these principles Timothy looks at the various classes of pruning with many examples of trees & shrubs commonly found in gardens.
